Micromax Yureka on sale on Amazon, sans registration, on May 5 and 6

Micromax subsidiary Yu has announced that their smartphone, Yureka, will be available on Amazon India, sans registration, on Wednesday and Thursday. The Yureka is available exclusively on Amazon.in.

The company stated on Facebook and Twitter that the phone will be available throughout the two-day, but the sale begins at 10 am on Wednesday. The announcement comes just a day after the company teased the launch of their new Yuphoria smartphone on May 12.

The Yureka runs on Cyanogen OS 11, a modification of Android 5.0 Lollipop, with more security and customisation features. Priced at Rs 8,999, it packs a 5.5" (1280x720p) display, 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615, 2GB RAM, 13MP f/2.2 rear shooter and a 5MP selfie cam, and 16GB onboard memory, expandable upto 32GB. The phone supports dual SIM and 4G connectivity and is powered by a 2500mAh battery.
