We may be getting a new version of the Motorola Razr model later this year but the updated smartphone will probably be hitting stores with an Android operating system.

The Lenovo-owned company released a video on its official YouTube channel which indicates that the company is set to launch a new version of its most iconic smartphone.

The smartphone was first released in 2004 but it wasn’t until 2006 that the smartphone gained major headway after the company decided to give it a generous price cut. The Razr would go on to sell 50 million of its total 150 million units in that year.

Despite the smartphone being released over a decade ago, the smartphone is still used by many. Anna Wintour may have been considered deranged when she pulled out her $15 flip phone at the US Open earlier this year, but the British editor-in-chief of American Vogue and fashionista was just staying ahead of the pack.

The new smartphone is probably going to be unveiled at a Lenovo event on June 9th, 2016 as the video ends with a Motorola logo on top of the number: 06.09.16.
