An Indian couple, captured their wedding memories through selfies, using a Lumia 730.
Wedding photography has come a long way from being just a tick mark in the wedding check list to becoming an art and a specialization in itself. This evolution is shaped by today's young couples who are looking at capturing these unscripted moments of their lives in more unique ways.
The latest trend being - selfies. Tonk who works under the brand name, Think Tonk came up with yet another trending concept #SelfieShaadi. Seeing couples taking selfies, Tonk decided to weave this concept into his wedding photography and ditched his DSLR to make the Lumia 730 his companion, to document the first ever wedding in selfies.

Think Tonk and Microsoft scripted the #SelfieShaadi concept. It was conceptualized as an online contest that invited entries by soon-to-be-married couples to win a chance to play the protagonists in India’s first ever Selfie wedding. The competition was won by the NCR-based couple Ankit and Prachi Agarwal.
“I have always loved experimenting and trying something new with wedding photography. Capturing an entire wedding through selfies was an idea that I had been contemplating for some time considering the selfie trend but couldn’t find the right device to do justice to the ambitious idea. Fortunately, the Lumia 730 had all the features packed into one device that could turn my dream project into reality. Shooting with the Lumia 730 was a completely different experience. It was interesting to direct shots and get the couple and their families to take those selfies. It was a challenge to get the right shot but at the same time fun as everyone was thoroughly enjoying themselves and having a gala time.” Said concept inventor Think Tonk.
