HOOQ just got bigger with Google Chromecast

HOOQ, Asia’s biggest premium video-on-demand service, announced that the latest version of the application will support Google Chromecast, expanding the viewing experience for HOOQ users in the country.

Chromecast is a thumb-sized media streaming device that plugs into the HDMI port on TVs.
 
HOOQ subscribers can use Chromecast to cast their favourite movies and TV series from any connected device to the biggest screen in their homes which means unlimited streaming of over 15,000 Hollywood movies and TV shows.
 
Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Ravi Vora, Chief Marketing Officer at HOOQ said, “We are very thrilled to bring the best in class entertainment from HOOQ to Chromecast users enabling them to enjoy the best content on their televisions right in their living rooms.  We believe this partnership further solidifies our position as the country’s biggest premium video-on-demand service.”
 
Viewers can use an Android phone, tablet, iPhone, iPad, Mac or Windows laptop, or Chromebook to cast the HOOQ app and its programming onto a television.
 
HOOQ say that users have access to unlimited Hollywood and local movies along with TV Shows, which can be viewed on up to 5 connected devices for ₹199 a month.

HOOQ also offers a unique offline download feature of up to five titles at a time.

Customers who purchase Google Chromecast through Snapdeal and Reliance Digital will get free access to HOOQ for 6 months worth ₹1500.
