Google Inbox has been updated with new features, including improved notifications, as well as the added option to attach Drive links.

With the update, you’ll receive notifications in Inbox on progress across all your Trello projects, as well as GitHub updates with a full summary of changes to the code and reported issues. Google has also said it’s asking other web services that update their users regularly, to contact them so they can be integrated into Inbox’s notifications as well.

Another addition is the change to Google Alerts, which now lets the user browse through the list faster. Each entry has a summary, and you can click to read more, or mark an entry as read.

One new feature that’s been added thanks to user input is the ability to now attach Google Drive links in emails, as well as the option to save email attachments to directly to Drive.

You also have the ability to drag and drop contacts from each email field into a different slot, just as you would in Gmail. The update is currently rolling out to both the web and smartphone app.
