Gone in 10 minutes: 250,000 units of Redmi Note 4 sold in first sale

250,000 devices were sold in under 10 minutes on the first day of its sale on Flipkart and Mi.com!

Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi Note 4 which went on sale for the first time in India on January 23.  According to the company, 250,000 units were sold out in 10 minutes on Mi.com and Flipkart. The first sale of Redmi Note 4 witnessed more than 3x and 5x quantity of the first sale of Redmi 3S and Redmi Note 3 respectively.  

Redmi Note 4 is a successor to the Redmi Note 3, which was reportedly, the highest-shipped smartphone in India’s online market, according to IDC.

In terms of specifications, the device packs in a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution along with a 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. However, the Chinese variant runs on a MediaTek Helios X20 processor. The device also includes a microSD card which can be expanded up to 128GB. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 based on top.

The smartphone comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. It also includes a 5MP front facing camera. Connec  tivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth and GPS. A 4100mAh battery completes the package. The device also uses 14nm finFET to improve battery efficiency by an average of 25 percent.
