Gionee launches new flagship, Elfife S7, in India

Gionee has launched the latest in its super-slim S series, the flagship Elife S7. Debuting earlier this year at MWC 2015, the S7 has finally made its way to India at a cool Rs 24,999. 

To quell fears of their ultra-thin product being fragile, Gionee has stated the new model uses an aviation-grade aluminium magnesium alloy, The phone is also the first to ship with Gionee's custom Amigo 3.0 UI, based off Android Lollipop. The phone comes in Black, White, and Maldives Blue. 

Powered by a 1.7GHz 64 bit octa-core Mediatek processor and 2GB RAM, the phone comes with a 5.2" AMOLED 1920x1080p display (full HD), a 13MP rear camera and 8 MP front cam. The display as well as the phone's back are encased in Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and it packs a 2750mAh battery, supposedly able to comfortably last one day's usage. 

The phone has dual SIM ports, both supporting 4G connections, and has 16GB internal storage. However, there's no support for expandable memory, and a 32GB version hasn't been announced yet.
