Flipkart’s Republic Day sale is underway: here are some of the hottest tech deals

With Republic Day looming, consumers can naturally expect retails outlets to plaster all manner of sales to mark the occasion. Flipkart has thrown open their digital doors to quite a few deals across smartphones, televisions, laptops and more. We pick the best deals today:

Smartphones: It’s never too early (or late) to buy a smartphone, so what better time when there are price slashes in force? There’s a deal on the Le Eco Le 2 that has a Rs 1,000 price cut and is available at Rs 10,999. With 3GB of RAM, a fast Snapdragon 652 processor, 32GB of local storage, a 5.5-inch Full HD display and a generous 3,000mAH battery, this is actually quite a sweet deal for the mobile gamer. There’s also a Lenovo K5 Note that’s now priced at Rs 12,499, if you’re looking for a phone larger 3,500mAH battery at 4GB of RAM, albeit a more modest Helio P10 processor.

Televisions: If you’re looking to up your TV-watching experience, there’s a deal on an LG 43cm (43LH576T) Full HD smart LED TV, which is now priced at Rs 43,400 (down from Rs 51,500.) With built-in WiFi, support for popular streaming apps like Netflix etc, it’s a deal that’s hard to ignore. If you’re willing to settle for a lower-resolution TV (720p), there are deals on a 32cm Vu 32D6475 and the Samsung 32J4003 priced at Rs 18,490 each.

Accessories: Looking to snag an external hard disk? There’s a Toshiba and Lenovo 1TB drive, each available for Rs 3,499. Both are based on USB 3.0, making it a snap to transfer those large files. There’s also a JBL Flip II Bluetooth speaker available at Rs 3,699 that supports NFC and an auxiliary-in audio port, a neat deal before you head out for a long weekend.
