CommonFloor.com, one of India's leading online real estate platforms introduces CommonFloor Retina, the world's first virtual reality tour in real estate, available to the masses. The service offers a virtual walkthrough of the property for seekers, allowing them to assess multiple properties from anywhere at any point in time.
How does CommonFloor Retina work?
Commenting on the service launch, Sumit Jain, Co-founder & CEO, CommonFloor.com, said, "As a new-age online realty player, technology and innovation are part of our core DNA. Property buying demands huge time and financial investment by the buyer and it is our constant endeavour to create tools and technology that makes property search easier."
The Retina is based off the Google Cardboard designs, available online here for free, or you can buy a prefabricated piece here.

To use CommonFloor Retina, a user simply needs to wear the headgear to experience a virtual tour of the property in question. The magnet switch on the headgear acts as a basic navigation tool. The app also saves builders the cost and space for constructing a model apartment. "It is an interesting product that can help a home buyers visualize the building and apartment under consideration in greater depth. It should be useful to customers who cannot be physically present at the property location before buying, and also to people who have already purchased a property and want to share it with their family & friends," said Vyoma Pandit, Senior DGM, Marketing, Brigade Group.
The app is compatible with the Nexus 4 and higher, MotoG 2nd gen, Samsung Galazy 4 and up, the MotoX and the Xiaomi Mi3 and up.
