Over 3,000 people queued outside the grand opening of Berlin's first Apple store in the shopping district of Kurfürstendamm in west Berlin on Friday. Fans had been waiting in line for 35 hours for the flagship opening.

The new Ku'Damm store is Apple's 11th in Germany. The store is located in a historic building and has two small Apple logos mounted on the front to attract customers.

The store also offers expeditions for children. An ad on the its page on Apple's site reads: On their expedition, students can create their own exciting projects. Or already bring created, turning the Apple Store in their stage. The results of their work, students can then present it to parents, teachers and friends."
