Acer Swift 7: World’s thinnest laptop launches in India at Rs 99,999

Acer announced the launch of its latest laptop -- Swift 7 -- in India. The World’s first laptop, measuring less than a cm thin comes under the category of ultra-thin and lightweight notebooks. The product was recently unveiled at IFA, Berlin along with the company's Predator 21x, Spin Series, Revo Base, Chromebook, Liquid series of smartphones etc.

The Swift 7 will be available from 18th November via Acer’s exclusive stores, select multi-brand outlets and exclusively on Flipkart starting at Rs. 99,999. The laptop sports a 13.3-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, 7th Generation Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD inbuilt storage, dual USB 3.1 Type-C ports, and a battery that will last for up to nine hours.

The Swift 7 weighs in at 2.48 pounds (1.1 kg) and measures 0.39 inches (9.98 mm) thin, making it the world’s first laptop to measure less than a cm thin. The device will come with audio internals by Dolby Audio Premium and Acer TrueHarmony.

The laptop comes with 2x2 802.11ac with MU-MIMO wireless technology which the company says can deliver reliable and up to three times faster connections. It will also come with an HD webcam with HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging support.
