Friday deadline for Baichung

Following a show-cause notice to Baichung Bhutia, Mohun Bagan on Friday said they would wait till Saturday and then refer the case to the executive body to decide on the future course of action.

“For his reality show he missed practice sessions and also didn’t travel with the squad on several occasions,” Mohun Bagan secretary Anjan Mitra said in a news conference in Kolkata on Friday.

Baichung, who scored brownie points as a dancer in the show Jhalak Dikhla Ja, is under fire from the club management for allegedly skipping practice sessions and not being able to accompany the team on important outings.

Baichung was unavailable for comments.
