PM Manmmohan meets president Pratibha Patil

With polling in Lok Sabha elections concluding on Wednesday, prime minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday met president Pratibha Patil during which the two leaders discussed various issues of national and international importance.

A Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesperson said the meeting lasted 30 minutes during which a number of matters were discussed.

The spokesperson termed the meeting as "routine" during which the president's visit to Spain and Poland was also discussed.
