At least 15 people were injured on Monday when anti-election protestors pelted stones on vehicles carrying opposition PDP supporters in Baramulla parliamentary constituency leading police to use batons to quell them.
 
The PDP activists were heading towards Dak Bungalow when groups of youth, shouting anti-election slogans, pelted stones on their vehicles at Cement Bridge, 55 kms from here, this afternoon, official sources said.
 
The sources said window panes of seven vehicles got smashed injuring 15 people, mostly supporters of PDP.
 
PDP has organised a public meeting at Dak Bungalow in Baramulla district town on the last day of the campaigning.
  
The vehicles which came under stone pelting were coming from Rafiabad, the native place of PDP candidate Mohammad Dilawar Mir, the sources said.
 
Soon after the incident, police used batons to chase away the stone-pelting protestors, the sources said adding reinforcements have been rushed to the area to maintain law and order.
   
Baramulla district town, which is going to polls on May 13, has witnessed a low key campaigning in view of a poll boycott called by Hurriyat Conference.
