I like to be unpredictable: Lara Dutta

A lot of speculations have been doing the rounds over the last few days about Lara Dutta’s absence from the city for 10 days. It set tongues wagging about her possible fallout with Dino Morea.

However, as it turned out, Lara had taken off on a holiday. Even as people were busy dissecting her personal life, a blissfully unaware Lara was shopping with her nieces — Michelle and Anoushka — in Hong Kong. Lara has this habit of suddenly taking off on holidays, unannounced. She returned to Mumbai last Friday.

“I like to be unpredictable and city life becomes too predictable at times. Taking off on unplanned holidays is like a breath of fresh air for me,” says Lara.

Though the children had made this holiday plan long ago, Lara couldn’t be with them due to her tight shooting schedule. Lara says, “It was also due to their school. They were planning this holiday a long time ago and I am glad that we could finally get this one. They had a long list for shopping and a list of the places that they wanted to see – the Waterworld, Zoo etc.”

A health freak, Lara has the habit of trying her hand at various adventure sports when she is on holidays. “I am a certified professional diver now and I can dive up to 100 feet anywhere in the world. Do you think that I will let that opportunity go when I am on a holiday? May be, this time I couldn’t do it but I will do it next time for sure,” adds the actor, who got her diving certificate while shooting for Antony D’ Souza’s movie Blue.
