From May 6, Mallika is also planning to travel through the same routes that she has travelled for the last 40 days.
In her last press meet before the elections, besides firing a set of six questions to LK Advani, independent candidate from Gandhinagar Mallika Sarabhai also spelled out her plans for the development of the state, regardless of whether she wins or loses the elections.
"I have prepared three teams to look into the problems of the state. The first team will look out for water harvesting and water sustainability in the state, while the second team will be making mudblocks for those poor people who stay in plastic tents and will find out means to build low-cost homes. The third team will be looking out for employment possibilities in the villages of Gujarat," Mallika said.
Supporting Mallika, actor Irfan Khan said, "Though I had heard a lot about Mallika, this is the first time I am meeting her. When I came to know that Mallika is fighting elections, I decided to campaign for her. I would have supported her irrespective of her political affiliation," he said.

"And if I am elected, I will also be planning out how to use the MPLAD's funds, for the optimum utilisation for the people of Gujarat."
When asked what does she think of the SIT that has been set up to reinvestigate some of the 2002 riot cases, Mallika said, "It is wonderful that the SIT has been set up. I think it is the result of the PIL I had filed, along with many other PILs filed by others. I personally feel that the way the case against Maya Kodnani has been justified now, all the other such cases also get solved soon."
