The March 25 Geography paper of ICSE has been rescheduled to April 2 as the set of question papers was mistakenly opened on March 23.

Teachers at a school in Bangalore opened it instead of the set of History question papers. The matter was immediately reported to the board office in New Delhi, following which the authorities rescheduled the paper on April 2.

“We don’t know what exactly happened in Bangalore. But the Delhi office of the board has informed us about the new date,” said Fr Carl Lauri, principal, Christ Church School in Byculla.

He said that it was not a paper leak but a mistake. An ICSE board official too said it was an error and not a leak. “No student had seen the paper. Since it was opened, the board has rescheduled the exams across India as a precautionary measure,” the official said.
