Ignoring the ultimatum by his second wife Fiza, former Haryana deputy chief minister
Chander Mohan did not return to her on Saturday.

Former additional advocate general Anuradha Bali alias Fiza had set a 48-hour deadline on Thursday for Chander alias Chand Mohammad who just two months ago created a stir by converting to Islam to marry her but went "missing" from the house the two shared on January 28 and did not return.

Fiza, 37, had claimed that Chand, who is former chief minister Bhajan Lal'sson, was abducted at the behest of his family but it was denied within hours by him. Chand claimed he had gone on his own and later said that he still loved his first wife Seema and their children and was missing them, indicating that the Chand-Fiza saga had gone sour.

A distraught Fiza on Thursday along with her counsel Rohit Mahajan hinted at taking legal recourse and threatened to expose Chand's alleged "misdeeds" if he failed to return
within 48 hours.

But with Chand, 43, not showing up till late in the evening, Fiza insisted, "My ultimatum will end tonight. Let it expire then only I will react."

Chand has not divorced his first wife Seema and two children. In a recent interview to private TV channel, he had claimed that he was "on a pilgrimage" and had not deserted
Fiza.
