Hrithik Roshan injured doing stunt

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan was admitted to hospital on Tuesday evening after he injured his left hand while shooting for the film Kites at Filmistan Studio.

Roshan injured himself while doing a stunt scene where he had to break a window pane with a rod. He was breaking the glass when a piece flew and hit him on the hand, a source said. He had a deep gash and there was lot of bleeding, he said. The entire unit was worried, and Roshan was taken to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri.

Confirming the incident, Rakesh Roshan, the actor’s father and the producer and director of Kites, said, “Yes, Hrithik was hurt while doing a stunt scene that involved breaking a window pane. He had to be taken to hospital. Now, he is fine.” The actor was discharged late in the evening.

Rakesh Roshan’s home production Kites has Hrithik Roshan opposite US-based Spanish model Barbara Mori. In October, while shooting for the same film, Roshan hurt his knees while doing a car stunt in Las Vegas. Anurag Basu is directing the film.
