MPCC expanded with 41 office-bearers

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has inducted 41 officers-bearers, including Aslam Sher Khan, who was made its vice-president.

Apart from Aslam, five general secretaries, 21 secretaries and 14 executive members were inducted on Friday night into the present MPCC, party sources said here on Saturday.

A list of newly-inducted officer-bearers was released on Friday night by All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary V Narayansami, they said.

Those who were made general secretaries are captain Jaipal Singh, Tanvant Singh Keer, SS Thakur, Lalit Jain and Prem Singh Kushwaha, sources said.

Among those, who were inducted as secretaries, include Ramesh Sahu, Mohammed Sultan Lala, Preeti Bhargava, Meena Malviya, Madhvi Chouhan and Naveen Dubey, they added.

The expansion followed a meeting of senior party leaders with Congress president Sonia Gandhi on January 22 in New Delhi in connection with preparations for Lok Sabha elections.
