Another killed in Kandhamal, toll mounts to 38

PHULBANI (Orissa): After a lull of nearly 11 days in riot-ravaged Kandhamal, the police on Saturday found the body of an elderly man from a field behind his house.    

With the killing, the death toll in Kandhamal increased to 38.
    
The incident took place at Panganaju village under Raikia police station and the deceased was identified as Krushna Chandra Pradhan, Kandhamal SP Praveen Kumar said.
    
Pradhan had gone to a turmeric field behind his house this afternoon when he was hacked to death, police said.
    
The police were verifying as to who could be responsible for the killing.
    
No one has so far been arrested in this connection.
