HYDERABAD: The 3D strategy - discovery, diligence and display - was something that the Essel Group-owned Indian Cricket League (ICL) aimed for. Now with the Season II poised to take off, looks as if ICL has achieved a lot more than they have bargained for.

After putting up a display of nail-biting cricket and discovering real talents all over the country, it’s time to enhance the entertainment quotient. And who better than Shiamak Davar and his troupe along with Rakhi Sawant as the head of the cheerleaders to enthral the Hyderabadi crowd on Friday?

During rehearsal, hundreds of children danced in sync with psychedelic lighting in the middle under the watchful eyes of Davar and around 12 girls in Rakhi’s team swayed to the beats on the preceding day of the T20 extravaganza.

“If the rehearsal looks this good, I don’t know how it will look during the live performance on Friday,” an organiser said on Thursday. More than 1000 drummers will enliven the crowd at the stroke of 7pm on Friday, followed by the inaugural match between Lahore Badshahs and Hyderabad Heroes at 8pm.
