LONDON: Tired of attending royal functions without her prince, Kate Middleton is struggling to find a location for a romantic break when boyfriend Williams, the second in line to the British throne, finishes his military training this month.

Kate, who has plenty of spare time on her hands, has been putting her mind to the vexing question of a holiday fit for royalty.

They have already been to the Caribbean this year and Prince Willam has been undergoing two-month military training with the Royal Navy there.

"Kates been kicking her heels at home and flicking through holiday brochures," a source said.

"So Kate has been trying to find a location they havent been to for a romantic week away," the source was quoted as saying by the Mail online on Sunday.

Kate attended her second royal wedding of the year without Prince William at Queens chapel, near St Jamess Palace in central London earlier this month.

Many friends expect the couple to announce their engagement either late this year or early next year. The Prince, who has now had experience of the Army, the RAF and the Royal Navy, is a Second Lieutenant in the Household Cavalry and is expected to spend time with his regiment before leaving the military at the end of the year.

The 26-year-old prince plans to swap his military uniform for a smart suit, with Williams deciding on a stint in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as a civil servant.

Apart from taking on a larger role as a senior representative of the Queen, and new charity work, William will learn about government and the judiciary from the New year, a media report sourced to royal aides said.
