Mumbaikars react to Sachin getting an offer from the Swiss government to endorse social causes in their country

He should reject the offer
I don't think Sachin should accept such an offer from the Swiss government. He is primarily responsible to India, and cricket here. In stead, he should concentrate on taking Indian cricket to another level and work hard towards it. There are many young cricketers who are doing quite well. But still, Sachin will always remain one of my favourites, and I would respect him more if he rejects this offer.

No reason for him to refuse
If the Swiss government is offering Sachin certain incentives, there is no reason for it him to not take the offer up. And if there is need for him to do more social work in India, then the Indian government should match up to the Swiss offer. Besides, it's not Sachin's responsibility to take care of social matters. What are our politicians for? They themselves don’t fulfill their social obligations. Why bother Sachin with them?

Just concentrate on cricket
Sachin has attained fame and prestige because of his contribution to Indian cricket. I strongly feel that he should strive hard towards maintaining this position. He should avoid accepting such offers from foreign countries. In fact, he should avoid advertisements even in India, and just concentrate on his game, if he wants to continue playing cricket for a longer period of time. This will also help India in the long run.

Let's leave it to Sachin
Sachin has been in great form lately, and looks like he'll play for some time to come. But, it should be left to Sachin whether he wants to work for social causes in Switzerland, or in India.
In the same manner, it should be left to Sachin as to when he wants to retire. He's led a dignified career so far, and will end it gracefully as well. Only if he’s got cricket obligations, he shouldn’t take up the Swiss offer.
