MUMBAI: If Kamal Hassan is almost ready with his magnum opus Dasavtaaram’, where he essays 10 different roles, composer-singer Aadesh Srivastava will now be releasing his pop album ‘Apna Banaa Ley’, where he has attempted 10 different renditions . So impressed was Amitabh Bachchan with Aadesh’s versatile overtures that he has even promised to release the audio tracks.
According to Aadesh, “It’s the first time that a Bollywood composer has tried to sing all—qawaali, western, classical, devotional, fusion and folk numbers. I love to connect with kids, so I have made my sons Avitesh and Anivesh sing along a children’s number,’ enthuses Aadesh who even dared to dabble in ‘reality dancing’ with his brief stint in ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’. “I did it for the sheer fun of participation. I enjoyed the experience,” he says.
Is it true that Aadesh, who recently collaborated with a number of international musicians including rapper Wyclef Jean and pop-star Shakira for another venture, is in the process of producing a musical TV show. “That’s right, I am producing a reality musical show. But I do not wish to reveal the details at this stage lest somebody pinches my concept,” he laughs.
