MUMBAI: The city police are likely to conduct brain profiling on Emile Jerome Matthew and his girlfriend Maria Monica Susayraj. Both are suspects in the murder of 27-year old Neeraj Grover.

Grover, the creative head of Synergy Adlabs, was killed on May 7 and his body chopped up and later burnt.

“We have suggested brain profiling of the two persons arrested in the case and the police have agreed. It will help understand the case better,” said R Krishnamurthy, director of the Forensic Science Laboratory at Kalina.

The police have not yet recovered the murder weapon. When asked about the significance of the weapon, Krishnamurthy said, “If we can prove Matthew committed the crime with the evidence available, then the weapon is immaterial.” Brain-mapping would help corroborate the presence of the suspects at the scene of crime and their role in it.

She added forensic reports on the bones and evidence collected from Manor and Susayraj’s house were awaited.
