AGARTALA: UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi has criticized the Left Front government in Tripura for its failure to utilise the Central funds, allocated for developmental projects. 

Addressing an election rally at Dharmanagar, bordering Assam and Bangladesh, on Monday, Ms Gandhi said about Rs 500 crore was not utilised, while Rs 175 crore, allocated for Bharat Nirman Programme of the UPA government, remained unused.
  
On the expansion of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGS), she said it would be implemented across the country from March.
  
The Congress chief said, ''I was informed that labourers in the state do not get their actual dues. I ensure that self-employment for nearly five lakh unemployed youths will be provided along with all-round development of people, including tribal and other minorities, if Congress comes to power.''
