A blast in an electric pole left one person injured near the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in South Delhi.

NEW DELHI: A blast in an electric pole on Wednesday left one person injured near the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in South Delhi.
"The explosion occurred near the gate of IIT. There is no cause for panic. A capacitor on an electric pole exploded near the IIT gate," Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said.
Several police teams have been rushed to the spot.
Eyewitnesses said one person was critically injured in the explosion.
