Punjab HC stays probe against DGP Virk

MUMBAI: The Punjab and Haryana HC on Thursday ordered the State Vigilance Commission to put on hold all investigations against former DGP SS Virk, who is under suspension.

Virk has filed a petition stating he has no faith in the investigators and that he is a victim of the government’s bias.

Virk also wants CBI or any other outside agency to handle the probe. The court will hear the government stand on January 10.   Virk was arrested on September 9 in a disproportionate assets case.
