Starwood Hotels & Resorts outside Bangalore, realty company Brigade Group has extended its association with the US hospitality chain.
The 220-room Sheraton Hotel Mysuru may get operational in 2011
MUMBAI: Taking its association with Starwood Hotels & Resorts outside Bangalore, realty company Brigade Group has extended its association with the US hospitality chain for its second five-star hotel in the city of Mysore (now Mysuru).
To be branded under Starwood’s Sheraton brand, the new hotel is expected to get operational in four years.
Earlier in February this year, as reported by DNA Money, a similar arrangement was signed between the two for the realty company’s Bangalore hotel which will also be a Sheraton hotel.
The Bangalore project is a 250-room hotel with an estimate project cost of between Rs 300-350 crore.
Vineet Verma, CEO of Brigade Hospitality Services Pvt Ltd, said the precise details, including investments in the new hotel project, will be made public in over a couple of days.
However, according to reliable information with DNA Money, Starwood has signed an agreement with Brigade Enterprises to manage a 220-room hotel.
The property will be christened Sheraton Mysuru Hotel and scheduled to launch by 2011.
According to an industry source in the know of the deal, the Sheraton Mysuru Hotel will be part of a four-acre development that will include top-end retail and office space, in addition to the hotel.
It will be a 220-room project with over 21,000 square feet of meeting space, four restaurants and bar, a health club and spa and a business centre.
Brigade Group currently has presence in the hospitality sector with it own brand
of serviced apartments called Homestead Service Apartments and Corporate Residences.
The realty company has also partnered with the Singapore-based Banyan Tree hotels for two properties in Karnataka last year.
