Team India raring to go, says manager Rajput

KOLKATA: Indian Team manager Lalchand Rajput on Friday said the Twenty20 World Championships winners were well prepared to take on Pakistan in the upcoming five match one-day international (ODI) series.

The first ODI will be played in Guwahati on Monday.

Rajput, who has been the manager since the Twenty20 tournament in South Africa, began the mind games right after reaching, even as Pakistan were busy playing a warm up match against the Delhi Ranji side at Ferozeshah Kotla in the national capital.

"We are well prepared. Remember that we won the Twenty20 defeating them in the final. The Australia series was closer than what the results show. The boys are fit and ready for the ODI series," he said.

He said it would be a tough series, but the Indians were ready for any challenge.
 
Asked about the inclement weather here, the former wicketkeeper-batsman said, "The camp will get underway at Eden Gardens as scheduled. If it continues to rain then we will practise indoors."
