MUMBAI: It was the clash of titans as Bangalore’s finest bartenders battled it out at the Smirnoff Black Cocktail Clash, organised by Smirnoff. The city’s premium bartenders of leading hotels showcased their talent as they concocted some of the most delectable Smirnoff Black drinks at Cocktail Clash  at Mayfair Rooms banquets, recently. Kenji Jesse, brand ambassador of Black Smirnoff and international mixologist, judged the competitors on the basis of style, technique, presentation and taste.

Each participant created two entirely unique and delicious cocktails while, The winner of Smirnoff Black Cocktail Clash Ravi Kiran from Wink Taj President won the ultimate prize - the chance to be a part of the ultimate party experience at the Smirnoff Experience in Shanghai. The runner-up Yatin Kadlak from Hard Rock Café, Mumbai won the Magpie Bartender Set and a runner-up trophy.

While the winners of the Smirnoff Black No 55 Most Stylish Bartender Manoj Jangid from China House, Grand Hyatt and The Smirnoff Black Best Cocktail Creator Pankaj Dixit from The Oberoi - Vetro took home 3 GB Ipods.

The Cocktail Clash comprised of two levels - Original Cocktail being the qualifying round and Speed and Accuracy being the final round. The creative concoctions along with charismatic flair bartending left the judge mesmerised.

Jesse said, “In today’s changing hospitality scenario, a well-trained and professional bartender is a necessary asset and hence, competitions like the Smirnoff Black Cocktail Clash help us differentiate a good bartender from a great one”.
