MUMBAI: Satish Pradhan on Tuesday quit the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) amid speculations that he is joining Shiv Sena.
Pradhan had quit the Sena and joined NCP two years back. Speculation is rife that he will be Sena’s candidate from Thane in the next Lok Sabha elections.
However, local leaders of the Sena are not very enthusiastic about Pradhan’s ‘homecoming’. “He had never maintained good relations with the party cadre when he was a Sena MP.
He is also not a mass leader that party badly needs in Thane district. However, if Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray orders us to work for him in the next general elections, we certainly will,” said a senior Sena leader.
