UK NRI returns Gandhi manuscript, letters to India

LONDON: A leading UK-based NRI entrepreneur,  Tom Tar Singh, OBE, has donated a set of letters and handwritten manuscripts by Mahatma Gandhi to the Indian government, coinciding with the birthday of the father of the nation.

The manuscripts, dating from the 1920s to 1940s and acquired earlier this year at a n auction conducted at Sotheby's in London, include a draft with revisions of a series of articles for Young India. Also included are letters between Gandhi and Badrul Hasan and Dr Jafar Hasan.
