LONDON: Bangalore-based artist Raghava KK has become cynosure of art lovers here following his week-long debut solo art exhibition organized by Visual Art.

Often referred to as one of India's most successful emerging artists, 27-year-old Raghava has created his own unique style of painting, in which he creates large watercolour on canvas using only his hands and feet as tools.

Since his first exhibition in Bangalore in 2001, hosted by film actress Shabana Azmi, Raghava has travelled to and exhibited his works in over 13 countries.

In 2004, Raghava's work was auctioned by the Queens Museum, New York and by Christie's New York in an auction curated by the Indo-American Arts Council.

The same year, he was awarded a prestigious grant by New York's largest non-profit, the Robin Hood Foundation, to create a permanent exhibition of his work in the Bronx, NY.

In 2005, art patron Ann Getty and the American India Foundation hosted the premier of his performance art piece 'Anthropomorphism: When paintings Dance in California'.

Raghava told newsmen on Tuesday night after conclusion of the exhibition here this Saturday, he would hold his next exhibition at the Carre d'art Contemporary Art Museum in Nimes, France this month.
