KOLKATA: BCCI president Sharad Pawar on Sunday lavished praise on Yuvraj Singh for his scintillating show in the Twenty20 World Cup and also said that team-work was behind India's success against mighty Australia.

"For the first 10 overs during the Indian innings I was very tense yesterday. It is because we were playing against Australia. But the boys batted excellently in the next 10 overs and kept constant pressure while bowling.

"Yuvraj's efforts deserve special praise. But at the same time, its a triumph of team-work. The dressing room atmosphere is tremendous," Pawar told mediapersons, during a visit to the Eden Gardens here on Sunday.

Asked whether the BCCI would give any incentive to the team for reaching the Twenty20 final, Pawar replied "Let's wait for one more game."

To a query whether the sparkling performance of the Indian team under new skipper M S Dhoni should put at rest speculations about Test captaincy, the BCCI president said

"It's completely up to the selectors and the board cannot interfere in such matters."

Pawar, a seasoned politician, also chose to remain non-commital about who would be appointed coach for the upcoming one-day series against Australia.

Pawar held a meeting with Cricket Association of Bengal President Prasun Mukherjee and other working-committee members.
