NEW DELHI: Amid talk of mid-term poll, BJP is expected to fine-tune its strategy at a meeting of the National Executive in Bhopal starting Friday with the Ram Setu row and Sachhar Committe report to be at the centre of the proceedings.

The meeting is being held at a time when the BJP is hoping to make the most of the Ram Setu affidavit fiasco and amid growing strains between the UPA and the Left on the Indo-US nuke deal.

Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is unlikely to attend the executive during which the leader of the opposition L K Advani is expected to hold the centre-stage.

The deliberations of the saffron party's top-brass at Bhopal will also focus on Narendra Modi-led Gujarat as also HimachalPradesh where elections are scheduled.

Elections in Gujarat are expected by December and Modi is facing serious dissidence from his detrators led by former Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel.

"The political resolution to be adopted on the first day after the presidential address will expose the government's failure in all fronts," BJP spokesperson Prakash Javedakar said at a press conference here on Wednesday.

The meet would also have two separate resolutions on 'agrarian crisis' and the "internal security issue," Javedekar said.

The meet, which is the second National Executive in the last four months is slated to discuss the Venkaiah Naidu committee report on grass-root level preparations for booth management, Javedekar said.

The second day of the meet will be marked by a public rally to be addressed by all major leaders.

BJP which is in power in Madhya Pradesh, is also faced with a fight from estranged leader Uma Bharti before Madhya Pradesh assembly goes to polls next year.

Javedekar steered clear of the prospects of Sushma Swaraj committee report on thirty-three per cent reservation for women in the party being tabled in the upcoming National Executive.

"I am not aware if that report is ready," he said.
