A three-week-old baby was killed by a stray bullet and her father wounded in a suspected gang-related shooting in Los Angeles, it was reported on Monday.

LOS ANGELES: A three-week-old baby was killed by a stray bullet and her father wounded in a suspected gang-related shooting in Los Angeles, it was reported here on Monday.   

Local broadcaster NBC4 said tiny Luis Angel Garcia was killed and the child's 37-year-old father Francisco Clemente injured in the shooting in the Westlake neighborhood on Saturday at around 9:30 pm.   

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that an infant had been killed and a man wounded but did not provide further details.

Reports said police were seeking three gang members in the crime, which occurred as Clemente was selling DVDs in the neighborhood.

The suspects targeted Clemente, and the child, in a stroller was hit by a gunfire, local television reports said.
