Two students kidnapped in Patna

PATNA: Two students have been allegedly kidnapped by unidentified persons here, police said.

Akash, a seventh standard student, was on way to the DAV school at Shastri Nagar from his house at Chanakya Puri in Raja Bazaar locality on Friday. Three persons in a green car intercepted and bundled him into the vehicle and drove away, police said.

The incident occurred near J D Women's college.

Akash is the son of Yogendra Pandey, an employee of the Bihar public health engineering department.

In a separate incident, an 18-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped from Alamganj police station here where a first information report was lodged on Friday afternoon.

Shambhunath Prasad in the complaint alleged that his son Kishore Kunal, an inter student, went out of his house in Alamganj locality on August eight and was kidnapped.

Police said old property dispute was stated to be the reason behind the kidnapping.

Raids have been launched to apprehend the kidnappers and trace both the boys, Senior Superintendent of Police Kundan Krishnan said.

The fresh kidnapping cases came a few days after the body of Roshan, a standard student of Patna Central School, was found in Kankarbagh locality of the state capital on August six, three days after he was allegedly abducted by his friends.
