12 killed, 36 injured in tractor-bus collision

HOSHANGABAD (MP): Twelve persons -- nine women and three children -- were killed and 36 others injured in a collision between a tractor-trolly and bus near Khoda
village, about 50 kms from here, on Tuesday.
    
The trolly carrying around 40 persons from Khoda was proceeding to a temple at Salkanpur when it collided with the bus bound for Gondia in Maharashtra from Bhopal, they said.
    
While 12 passengers of the tractor-trolly were killed, 36 others, including 28 of those travelling in the trolly, were injured, police said.
    
The condition of some injured, including the bus driver, was stated to be critical.
    
The injured were admitted to a hospital in Itarsi.
