KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board has sought to allay fears surrounding the terrorist attack at Glasgow airport in Scotland and said the scheduled ODI against India on Tuesday was on.

"The situation has been discussed and we are satisfied with the security arrangements. We are playing no doubt about it," Zakir Khan, PCB Director of Cricket Operations, told from Glasgow on Sunday.

Pakistan were also due to play a one-dayer against the hosts on Sunday. The proceeds of the Indo-Pak would go to a charity trust run by Prince Charles.

A security high alert has been put in Glasgow following the blotched terror attack at the main airport on Saturday.

Asked about the presence of Board Chairman Nasim Ashraf and his wife at the Glasgow airport when a burning SUV jeep was slammed into the main terminal building, Zakir said they were "fine".

"They were not present when the incident happened at the airport. But they are fine and everything is normal in the Pakistan camp," he said.

Zakir said that the players had been advised to observe strict security routines but to play the matches on schedule.

The start of Sunday's game was affected by bad weather. Zakir said the Pakistani players were hyped up for the match against Tuesday although it was being held for a noble cause.

"A match against India of any nature is always keenly anticipated and we are expecting a big crowd in for the match despite the security alert in Glasgow," he said.

"We are just keeping our fingers crossed the rains don't hit the match." Another board official said that Ashraf, who would return home on July 5, was due to follow up on discussions with Indian board officials on chalking out a programme of off-shore games between the two countries.
