NIIT, Intel announce multi-core training prog

NEW DELHI: Asia's largest IT training company NIIT on Tuesday launched its multi-core training programme in partnership with global chip maker Intel.

The training curriculum, which has been developed by both the companies, would be deployed by NIIT across 40 countries through its own centres and new partnerships.

"We expect to train about 50,000 people in the first year of this programme's launch. It is also included in our industry-endorsed programme GNIIT for individuals," NIIT President Knowledge Solutions Business Ashish Basu told reporters here.

The programme would offer corporate and individual clients training from an overview of multi-core to a working experience of parallel programming including multi-threaded programming and performance optimisation, he said.

NIIT has also entered into partnerships with variousinstitutes in Australia, Singapore, the UK and the US to promote this programme.
