No deadlock in Indo-US N-talks: Mukherjee

NEW DELHI: After three days of talks with the US on a proposed agreement to operationalise the civil nuclear deal, India on Saturday said there was no deadlock and expressed optimistism that the pact would come through.

"There is no question of a deadlock," External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said as the latest round of discussions between Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon and US Under Secretary of State Nicholas Burns concluded here.

Striking a positive note, Mukherjee expressed optimism that 'things will come through'.

"An agreement is to be reached at. As and when an agreement is finalised, you will come to know," he said, adding the 'talks are yet inconclusive'.
