Toddler, who fell into borewell two days ago, found dead

BIKANER: A one-and-a-half-year-old girl, who got trapped inside a 155-feet deep borewell at a village in the district two days ago, was found dead as armymen took out her body with the help of locals on Saturday.

The army, police and the district officials, along with villagers, were working since yesterday morning to rescue the toddler, whose body was found at a depth of 160 feet.

The girl, Sarika Yadav, had recieved injuries on her head and neck, Additional District Collector P C Mahor said.

A post-mortem would be conducted, he said.

Yadav accidentally fell into the borewell while playing and got trapped in a narrow pipe on Thursday at Adsar, some 90 km from here.
