Bermuda's Oliver Pitcher taken to hospital

PORT OF SPAIN: Bermuda batsman Oliver Pitcher was taken to hospital after suffering an apparent head injury while fielding in their World Cup match against Bangladesh on Sunday.   

Pitcher ran sideways and flung himself in an unsuccessful attempt to take a catch but got up holding his head before sitting down in a daze.   

He was attended on the field with all players crowding around him before he was carried off in a stretcher and taken in an ambulance.

Bermuda were playing Bangladesh in a Group B match.
