Who will be ‘Nayee Padosan 2’?

Zee Muzic and ETC have announced the launch of a face hunt to play the heroine in the film’s sequel

Director BH Tharun Kumar’s successful film ‘Nayee Padosan’, which included actors Vikas Kalantri, Aslam Khan, Rahul Bhatt, and Mahek Chahel and Anuj Sawhney as the lead pair, will now see a sequel. The sequel will have a new heroine (as Mahek gets married to Anuj in the original) who will be selected through a face hunt.

At a recent event Zee Muzic and ETC (as media partners of the film) announced the launch of the ‘Nayee Padosan 2 Face Hunt’. Starry-eyed aspirants can send in their entries via sms. The contestants will be zeroed down to 12 out of which the winning aspirant will be crowned at a ceremony to be held on March 24.  The winner will then play the female lead in the sequel, which will include actors Vikas , Aslam and Rahul from the original.

Speaking about the concept at the function Vikas said, “My company White Leaf Entertainment (with partner and actor Pooja Ghai Rawal) is organising this whole event. The new face of ‘Nayee Padosan 2’ will be groomed in acting, dancing and other faculties.”

Actor Aslam said that the winner will have to be better than Mahek. “She will have to be beautiful, talented, have a good body and be able to dance well.”

A sporting Mahek  said, “I have lovely memories of my debut film. There was no scope for my inclusion since I get married to Anuj in the original. So I was not disappointed when they decided to select another girl as the ‘Nayee Padosan’. May the best girl win!”
