Saki Naka killer kills self

The 22-year old compounder allegedly killed a 15-year old school girl in broad daylight for refusing his advances.

MUMBAI: Chinnu alias Premchand Shivcharan Morya, 22, who killed a 15-year-old girl at Saki Naka on Tuesday, committed suicide by jumping in front of a local train at Kurla in the early hours of Wednesday.
 
According to the police, Morya had been in love with with Sundari Tripathi for the last two years, though she kept refusing him.
 
“They had a minor argument between each other and were not in talking terms for some time. After committing the crime, Morya was very upset with what he had done. He called one of his friends and informed him about the incident,” said a police officer, seeking anonymity.
 
At 12.30 am, Morya went to the Kurla Railway station and jumped in front of a speeding local train from platform number 2.
 
Asked how Morya was identified after his body was found on the railway tracks, Senior Police Inspector K Pawar with the Kurla Railway police said, “An identity card for a Bihar-based college was found from the pocket of the deceased. We then checked with the police control room and it was learnt that Morya was wanted in the murder of a school girl at Saki Naka.”
 
Morya’s body was taken to Rajawadi Hospital for a post-mortem. Later his father Shivcharan Morya, 52, claimed the body.
 
Tripathi was on her way for tuition on Khairani Road on Tuesday evening, when Morya took her to an isolated lane near Aayappa temple and slit her throat.
 
Tripathi and Morya were residents Saki Naaka. Tripathi was a Class X student. Morya was working in a dispensary at Yadav Nagar.
