NEW DELHI: Air services to and from the capital were disrupted as dense fog engulfed the runway at the airport here, reducing visibility to near zero levels.
Several flights were diverted to nearby airports as visibility dipped to near zero levels at the Indira Gandhi International Airport after 9.30 pm, airport sources said.
The Runway Visibility Range (RVR) on both the runways at the Indira Gandhi International Airport dipped to below 50 metres after 9.30 pm, the weather office said.
Vehicles moved slowly on the roads with fog lamps on.
Several motorists were honking the horns of their vehicles to avoid mishaps.
Several trains to and from Delhi were also delayed.
