TEHRAN: Iran's parliament speaker said on Saturday parliament would alter Iran's relationship with the United Nations's IAEA nuclear watchdog if the U.N. Security Council issued a resolution against Iran.

The U.N. Security Council plans to vote on Saturday on a resolution imposing sanctions on Tehran's nuclear work, which the West suspects is aimed at making nuclear weapons. Iran says its programme is peaceful.

“If they intend to deprive Iranian nation of its certain right to nuclear technology by a resolution...parliament will reconsider the nature of its relationship with the IAEA,” Parliament Speaker Gholamali Haddadadel told state television.
