LS lauds Rana's performance

NEW DELHI: The Lok Sabha on Wednesday lauded the sterling performance of ace shooter Jaspal Rana at the Doha Asian Games.

"It is a matter of great pride that at the ongoing Asian Games, our ace shooter has been chosen the best sportsperson," Speaker Somnath Chatterjee said.

He said Rana's gold haul helped India substantially increase its medals tally.

"I am sure the House would join me in congratulating Rana on his excellent performance which has brought laurels to the country," the Speaker said.
